What residency by investment is
Residency programs grant a renewable or permanent permit to investors who make a qualifying investment — most often property, sometimes capital, business or funds.
The differences that matter are family scope, physical presence requirements, what the investment leaves you holding, and whether a longer-term path to citizenship exists.
Suitability
Is it the right route for you?
It may suit you if
- You want a second home base for the family
- Schooling or university abroad is part of the plan
- You are considering relocation, now or later
Consider alternatives if
- You need a second passport rather than the right to live somewhere
- You cannot hold a qualifying investment for several years
- The route requires presence you are unable to commit to
